For my first year at Marist, I chose to go abroad to Dublin, Ireland. I had no idea what the country was like, how the people were, or their culture but I still decided to take a risk and go. I had never travelled to Europe before so I knew it was going to be a completely different experience of my first year of college than most people studying in America. I do not think I would have gone abroad if I didn’t just come back from a month of being in Seoul, South Korea. Being away in a foreign country for so long made me realize that I had a deep love for traveling and wanted to experience as much of the world as I could before I get a job out of college.
